Inaugural Bell Media Producer Accelerator Lab Now Accepting Applications

bell mediaBell Media has announced that applications are now being accepted for the inaugural Bell Media Producer Accelerator Lab. Announced earlier this year, the two-part program is designed to assist the career advancement of mid-level Canadian producers. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, January 10 2014 at 5 p.m. ET, with the program scheduled to begin in March 2014. The Bell Media Producer Accelerator Lab is part of Bell Media’s TV Skills Development Initiative, which invests $1.8 million annually in a suite of national training programs. Students from Laval and the northern periphery can now pursue studies in Interior Design or Video Games at a location close to home. VFS Game Design Expo Becomes VFS Speaker Series

MaRS Innovation Collaborates With Johnson & Johnson Innovation To Advance Early-Stage Technologies

MaRSMaRS Innovation (MI), a Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research, has announced a new collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Innovation and its affiliate Janssen, Inc., in Canada to advance early-stage technologies related to human health in therapeutics, medical devices, and diagnostics. Through the collaboration, MaRS Innovation and technical experts from the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Center in Boston will jointly identify and fund high-potential opportunities emerging from well-validated scientific research discoveries within MaRS Innovation’s 16 member institutions, which include the University of Toronto and its affiliated teaching hospitals.
