The Blue Water Film Festival (BWFF) has announced the 2013 “Call for Entries” for their fifth annual festival. Leading industry professionals from the 2013 Judges’ Panel will select the winning films. Monetary awards and prizes totaling up to $2,500 will be given at the BWFF Awards Ceremony on September 28. Registration is now open for the fourteenth annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run, which will take place on Sunday, May 26^th at the Athlete’s Village Plaza (the former Olympic Village). The Fun Run is the largest timed 5K race in BC and is one of the technology industry’s largest fundraising events. All registered Fun Run participants are eligible for prizes and receive free admission to the TELUS World of Science on the day of the race. Families can meet student science fair participants, view science fair projects, pick up free giveaways from run sponsors and participate in the day’s activities, all while learning how science education can be fun. The Visual Effects Society Vancouver Section along with the Vancouver Economic Commission and the HR Screen Council Board are pleased to announce the date for the 2nd Annual VES Vancouver Career Fair at the Vancouver Convention Centre West Building. The Career Fair doors will be open from 11:00am through 4:00pm on Saturday, April 20th, with students welcome to attend after 2:00pm. Last year the VES Vancouver Job Fair hosted 1200 attendees and 20 exhibitors. This year the space has been expanded to accommodate over 30 exhibitors.
