Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services Andrew Wilkinson has released a video that highlights SIGGRAPH 2014, the world’s foremost computer graphics and art conference coming to the Vancouver Convention Centre August 10-14, 2014. Over 15,000 artists, programmers, filmmakers, computer scientists, animators, game designers and others involved in computer graphics, film making, video games and hardware will be in Vancouver over the four days of the conference. Family Channel travels to a galaxy far, far away this summer with the premiere of the new crossover special Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars. Debuting Friday, August 8 at 5:30 p.m. ET/PT, the perilous parody takes place in a parallel universe during Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and follows the spontaneous stepbrothers as they embark on an epic adventure across the galaxy. English actor, writer and comedian, Simon Pegg, guest stars as the voice of C-3PO and Candace’s Commanding Officer, along with MythBusters hosts, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who voice members of the Empire. This summer, Disney Junior is giving kids something to quack about with the premiere of the network’s first-ever original movie, Lucky Duck. Debuting Saturday, July 12 at 6 p.m. ET the animated musical film features the voices of Broadway and television stars Christian Borle, Megan Hilty (both of Smash) and Tom Cavanagh (Royal Pains) as a trio of misfit tub toys who embark on an epic journey to find kids who will love them, just the way they are.
