The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced the 2012-2013 Performance Envelope allocations (PDF) to its website. On April 3 2012, 62 English broadcasters shared $182 million and 29 French broadcasters $89 million in envelope allocations for use in the 2012-2013 fiscal year. CBC got the lion’s share with over $61.3 million total funding, followed by CTV at $17.2 million and YTV at $15.2 million. I am curious as to how much of this funding is actually used on original Canadian programming, and how much is used to import shows from other countries. Can anyone answer this for me?
