The Penguins in The Desert Productions team will be holding “The Zelda Marathon 4” to support Big Brothers Big Sisters St.Catharines – Thorold & District. The event is a third party fundraising effort that is being put together to aid in mentorship programs, future fundraising efforts and making successful matches for children. The event will begin Friday, December 14th at 7 p.m. ET. The Penguins Productions team will be playing 9 Zelda games for 24 hours a day. Make-A-Wish Quebec was selected by the Montreal Canadians goaltender, Carey Price and Ubisoft as a proud beneficiary of their charity venture. Last month, the three-time Stanley Cup winner and the renowned interactive entertainment company partnered up and announced that an Assassin’s Creed III-themed hockey mask signed by Price will be auctioned off. Recent studies indicate major discrepancies between the perception of privacy protection in Canada and the reality behind the ability of companies to protect personal information. A recent report from Advertising Standards Canada and MacLaren McCann indicates widespread willingness among Canadians to share personal information, with up to 79% exchanging their data to obtain a benefit. Trust in companies is increasing as up to 80% of Canadians believe their personal data is adequately protected. Unfortunately, the privacy landscape in Canada may suffer as a result of a false sense of privacy, according to a privacy professional and author of “Managing Personal Information: Insights on Corporate Risk and Opportunity for Privacy-Savvy Leaders” (Carswell, 2012). Ubisoft® has announced that Assassin’s Creed® III is now available for Windows PC. Assassin’s Creed III takes gamers on a journey from the vibrant cities of Colonial America, across the expansive and perilous frontier to the stormy seas and blood-soaked battlefields.
