For CodeProject, one of the world’s largest online communities of software developers, it has been a summer full of celebrations. Members from around the world organized parties in countries such as Switzerland, Israel, India, Brazil and the United States. Members met, shared memories and celebrated the community that they have helped build. CodeProject also engaged its members by creating a “why do you love CodeProject?” contest that gave members the chance to create a video or submit a photo meme for a chance to win a $10,000 prize pack. Yesterday over 100 participants met with the Canada Media Fund (CMF) in Toronto as part of the first focus group of a cross-country consultation that includes stops in 18 cities, in all provinces and territories. Throughout the rest of the month of September, focus groups are being held in the Western provinces and territories. In October and November, the consultation will continue in other Canadian cities. In this latest Nintendo 3DS adventure, we travel along with the famous sibling plumbers on a vacation to Pi’illo Island, which of course is not the simple pleasure trip it appears to be. There are new characters and villains (along with the long-familiar ones) to chat up and combat, and as you can expect from a Mario title, there’s a healthy helping of puzzles to solve. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is a combination of colourful 3D levels and classic 2D side-scrolling action, and in this aspect the game really does shine. There was obviously much time spent in development perfecting this new world into a place that it seems only Nintendo can produce while making full use of the 3DS’ abilities. The Province of BC recently launched iMapBC 2.0, an upgraded version of its popular online mapping toolkit that will provide improved access to thousands of geographical datasets.
