Toronto’s Keek has announced the release of its app for Microsoft’s mobile platform. Those who have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Keek on Windows Phone 8 can now create and share videos worldwide with the popular social video network. Keek is the first official social video app available in the Windows Phone Store. The app provides users with many of the features found in its iOS, Android and BlackBerry counterparts, although it delivers a user experience that is unique to the Windows Mobile OS. Earlier this month Keek also announced the release of its developer portal, which provides several tools and resources to help third-party developers integrate Keek with their applications. Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Enterprises and U.S. toy company The Bridge Direct are teaming up for the launch of Pinkie Cooper and the Jet Set Pets™. This summer will see the launch of the Pinkie Cooper toy line, a unique range of dolls and accessories -fashion dolls with a canine twist. A jury of nine renowned individuals in the digital media sphere met in Toronto yesterday and today to evaluate innovative Canadian digital media projects that applied for production support from the Canada Media Fund’s Experimental Stream. The goal of the jury is to provide an external perspective on innovation as well as assess the experience of the production and creative teams with regards to their capacity to deliver the project. Ubisoft announced the launch of Watch Dogs’ WeareData, an experiential website designed to gather and graph the publicly available data that govern people’s lives in a single location. WeareData is initially available for the cities of Berlin, London and Paris. In Watch Dogs, the highly anticipated open world action game from Ubisoft, the fictionalized city of Chicago is run by a Central Operating System (CTOS), linking all of the city’s online infrastructures and public security installations to one centralized hub.
