HootSuite has announced that four new apps have been added to its App Directory, including two of the most popular user requested apps for Gmail and ViralTag for Pinterest to its . The social relationship platform now boasts 65 social networks and tools used by today’s social business. ViralTag brings Pinterest functionality into the HootSuite dashboard, while the Gmail app makes monitoring email alongside real-time social streams easy. The latest release also includes apps video success platform Vidcaster, and selling tool Shopseen. Funcom‘s “Get Your Art In The Game” is a competition which lets players draw their own ideas for outfits and the winners will get their creations made in The Secret World. The Secret World already has an unparalleled diversity in outfits, and we wish to give the players the opportunity to both expand on this and share their creativity with the whole community. The competition started on August the 16^th and will run until September the 15^th. From the Museum Secrets Team: After three great seasons of Kensington’s international hit TV series, the lead network, HISTORY Canada, has decided that they have enough episodes and have cancelled the show. If you wish to find out more you can get in contact with them at feedback@historytelevision.ca. While we have moved on to other exciting series projects, we are disappointed that Museum Secrets will not have any new shows to entertain and inform our millions of fans worldwide. However, the third season can still be seen on networks around the world including History Canada, Yesterday Channel / UKTV, Smithsonian Channel in the USA, throughout Scandinavia, Italy, Germany, France, Australia, throughout Asia and other territories. As announced on August 6, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) will embark on a cross-country consultation this fall as part of a comprehensive consultation process. The consultation includes focus groups in 18 cities, in all provinces and territories. The following calendar was updated to reflect times and locations for each focus group. Ten Canadian women directors and actors who have had an outstanding year have been selected for tribute by a pan-Canadian selection committee made up of journalists specializing in the arts, culture and entertainment. The 10 women will be honoured on September 11, 2013, at the Maison Birks’ Bloor Street W. store in Toronto during the inaugural Birks Diamond Tribute to the Year’s Women in Film, in partnership with Telefilm Canada. Directors Louise Archambault, Deepa Mehta, Alanis Obomsawin, Sarah Polley and Chloé Robichaud, as well as actresses Évelyne Brochu, Geneviève Bujold, Sarah Gadon, Jessica Paré and Alison Pill, were selected for this honour.
