Whistler Film Festival Weekend Adventure Film Series And Call For Submissions

The series includes eight screenings over three days from May 16 to 18, 2014. Sailing, Surfing, Climbing, Mountain Climbing, Free skiing, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Ultra Marathon Running and Paddling are among some of the film themes, which include five features and three short programs. More Venues Confirmed For Canada Media Fund Outreach Tour

Canada Media Fund The Canada Media Fund (CMF) continues its Outreach meetings throughout Canada and now confirms venues for Québec City, Montréal, and Ottawa. The CMF will meet with stakeholders in 18 cities during the cross-country Outreach tour to present changes to the 2014-2015 Guidelines, the 2013-2014 funding results, the application process and to answer questions. The meetings will be moderated by Nathalie Clermont, CMF Director of Program Management. She will be joined by representatives of the CMF Program Administrator|Telefilm Canada, Melissa Amer for the English market, and Dominique Lapierre for the French market. Grants Available For BC’s Media Artists

Province of BCIndependent media artists can now apply for project grants from the BC Arts Council. Project assistance up to $25,000 are available to independent media artists to support the creation of new works in the areas of film, video, audio/sound art and new media, including new information and communications technologies used for artistic expression.
