There will be a hands-on, classroom based training session for businesses or organizations wanting to learn about and how to effectively use Social Media to tell their story and help grow their business being held in North Langley on October 26th.
By the end of the day, you’ll be fully set up on Google Places, have your own Facebook Business page, Twitter account, YouTube Channel, LinkedIn profile and learn how to manage it. Over 60 local businesses are now seeing their business grow through Social Media.
The seminar will be taught by Jonathan Christian of WeMakeStuffHappen.com, and costs $397.00 per person plus HST. Parks Canada and the Cineplex network are joining forces on Sunday November 13th for an outstanding
screening on two of the most beautiful, overlooked national parks in Canada: Tuktut Nogait, a park located north of the Arctic Circle inhabited by a population of caribou, and Pukaskwa, a park of mesmerizing beauty on the shores of Lake Superior.
The wide-screen projection of these two short films by Oasis HD will be accompanied by an online exchange session on Twitter between spectators in the theatre and Parks Canada specialists. As part of the Festival du nouveau cinéma (FNC), Wapikoni Mobile celebrated its first international launch yesterday with the screening of the year’s best films. Among the special guests of the night were some thirty young filmmakers from First Nations of Quebec and Latin America who have traveled a long way from their remote communities to share their work. Ghislain Picard, Chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador, attended the screening and came to salute and encourage the work of these young artists. The Anishnabe rapper and spokesperson for the Wapikoni Mobile, Samian, also joined the night through video. He announced the concert that he will give for the benefit of the organization featuring Florent Vollant, Elisapie Isaac, Loco Locass, Richard Séguin, Anodajay and other friends on November 29that the Club Soda.
