Explore the profound impact of the two World Wars on ordinary people of New Brunswick in New Brunswickers in Wartime, 1914-1946, the new exhibition opened yesterday at the Canadian War Museum. The exhibit features the personal stories of individuals who served in uniform or in wartime industries, and those who supported the war from home. It also examines the people’s readjustment to civilian life at war’s end. Twenty high school students from two Markham area high schools will get to spend a morning with professional engineers experiencing innovative technology that could inspire them to choose exciting careers in engineering. As many of you already know, NORAD has special surveillance systems in place to track that jolly old man in the red suit as he makes his rounds on Christmas Eve. Toronto’s most remarkable Holiday fundraiser, HoHoTO, takes over the Mod Club for the fourth consecutive year on Thursday, December 15, 2011. One of the largest third-party contributors to Daily Bread Food Bank, HoHoTO aims to raise over $65,000 this year, bringing total donations to more than $200,000 since the annual event launched in 2008.
