Eidos-Montreal used some of the latest game development technology from Autodesk, Inc.  to develop the critically acclaimed “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” video game. Autodesk Scaleform middleware helped the developer build immersive user interfaces (UIs) — from interactive world objects and the hero’s Augmented Reality bio-engineered enhancement, to basic menus and heads-up displays (HUDs). Ubisoft® has just announced PowerUp Heroes, the ultimate superpower-infused full-body combat game exclusively on Kinect™ for Xbox 360®. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, PowerUp Heroes lets players transform their Xbox LIVE Avatar into a custom superhero to face off in a fight against the forces of evil. Toronto developer DrinkBox Studios has announced that it is working on a new downloadable game titled Guacamelee, a game that features a down on his luck Mexican named Juan Aguacate, who sets out to save the world when El Presidente’s Daughter is kidnapped by an Evil Charro Skeleton. The story takes place in and around a small village in Mexico, and has the player travelling through alternate dimensions including “The World of the Dead” and “The World of Nightmares” on his quest to rescue the girl he loves.
