Family Channel proves that geek is chic this summer with the premiere of the newest Disney Channel Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy. Debuting Friday, August 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, day and date with Disney in the US, the futuristic flick features recording artist China Anne McClain (A.N.T. Farm) and Disney XD’s Kelli Berglund (Lab Rats) as tech-savvy high school sophomores who design the perfect boy with a computer program and, in the process, trigger a national incident. The Documentary Media Society is providing four people with behind-the-scenes work experience, thanks to more than $25,000 in Job Creation Partnership funding. The DOXA Engagement Project will provide up to 29 weeks of on-the-job training at the non-profit media society that runs the DOXA Documentary Film Festival.
