StyleTap Releases Two New Platform Updates

StyleTapToronto – The developers of the StyleTap Platform® have announced two important product updates. StyleTap® Platform allows you to run applications (and games) originally written for Palm OS handhelds on devices running:

* Windows Mobile Pocket PC
* Windows Mobile 5.0 for Smartphone
* Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1
* Symbian OS – S60 3rd Edition
* Symbian OS – S60 5th Edition
* Symbian OS – UIQ3.0

With more than 20,000 applications for the Palm OS platform available – many of them free – you will be able to do so much more with your smartphone. StyleTap Platform is fast, compact and comes with everything you need. Just add your favorite third-party applications for Palm OS platform and you’re ready to go!

StyleTap Platform v1.1.014:

* Added “virtual softkeys” for Treo Pro
* tryDa sample program replaces dirAssist
* Fixes for Handmark Scrabble, DateBk6, PMTxl, SpaceTime, Power48, FirePad, ShadowPalm, GoogleMaps, 5 Minute Clinical Consult applications
* Fix for intermittent problem with LG KS20 when deleting files
* Improvements to buffering strategy for audio recording and playback
* Fix for setting 66% display mode on double density device (will change it to 160×160)
* Force hangup on a dialup connection if StyleTap initiated call

StyleTap Platform for Symbian OS v0.9.018 provides the following (in addition to) the January v0.9.015 release:

* Bluetooth RFCOMM (serial over Bluetooth) support for S60 (not tested for UIQ)
* Support for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic with newer firmware
* Nokia N96 support
* fix for AutoMobil
* cosmetic improvements for S60 devices in landscape mode
