New Resource Will Raise Awareness Of Online Hate Crime

Province of BCTeresa Wat, Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism, has announced that the Government of BC, in partnership with the BC Hate Crimes Team and Abbotsford Community Services, will develop a creative educational campaign and resource to raise awareness about online hate crime . This resource will provide online education and awareness about racial and religiously motivated hate crimes, including information about what constitutes a hate crime and how to report a hate crime. Canada Media Fund Announces New Funded Productions

Canada Media FundThe Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced a contribution of over $1.6M to three television productions and related websites as part of the Aboriginal Program’s second round of funding. The Aboriginal Program is designed to support independent Aboriginal production in Canada. This program is part of the CMF’s convergent stream; thus, projects funded through this program must include content to be developed for distribution on at least two platforms, one of which must be television.
