Canada-India Audiovisual Coproduction Agreement Signed

Telefilm CanadaThe Audiovisual Coproduction Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of India was signed on February 24, 2014, in New Delhi, India, during the State Visit of His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada. The High Commissioner in India, Steward Beck, and India’s Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, Bimal Julka, signed this agreement in the presence of the Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, and the Minister of State (Sports) for Canada, Bal Gosal. Support For Media Arts And Art Films In Montréal

Government of CanadaThe Government of Canada has is providing $90,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for the 32nd edition of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA), which will take place from March 20 to 30. Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover made the announcement today. These funds will allow FIFA to present the world’s best media arts productions and art films. The Media Arts section will present a number of experimental art films. In addition to the screening of films and videos, there will be conferences, roundtables, and the production of a catalogue. Telefilm CanadaTelefilm Canada wishes to inform its clients that applications for funding to the Canada Feature Film Fund for lower-budget projects (projects with budgets of less than $2.5 million) will be accepted as of the following dates for English- and French-language markets. Please note that these dates are not “deadlines;” they are opening dates. Telefilm will continue to accept applications for lower-budget projects after these dates until the closing date. 2014 N100 Competition Open For Entries

N100Northumberland CFDC, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing financing and strategy for entrepreneurs has issued a call for entrants for its 2014 N100 competition. N100 is a competition for startup companies with the potential to grow, innovate and create jobs in Northumberland, Ontario. There is no need to be currently located in Northumberland to participate, and a $100,000 in investment capital is available. DriveBC Launches Route Planner For Truckers

Province of BCCommercial drivers in B.C. can organize smarter and more efficient trips thanks to a new DriveBC route planner. The Commercial Vehicle (CV) Route Planner is a free online feature that provides truckers with locations and details of potential clearance restrictions. This new planning tool will assist truckers when applying to the ministry for an oversize/overweight single trip permit.
