Four Canadian mobile game developers are taking part in 12 Indie Apps, a December fundraiser for Child’s Play and Doctors Without Borders. If you haven’t yet purchased Trainyard by Magicule, Smiles HD by Sykhronics Entertainment, Red Nova by Celsius Game Studios or Sword of Fargoal by Fargoal, now is your chance to get some great Canadian-made games and help support two great causes. It should also be noted that while Fargoal is based in Seattle, the studio’s primary dev is Ontario programmer Paul Pridham.

Rogers Communications Inc. has released more information to build on the earlier Microsoft announcement of Xbox Live service expansions. The Rogers On Demand app for Xbox 360 will be coming to the newly designed Xbox LIVE dashboard this holiday season. The app is the first time Rogers On Demand will be available on a gaming console, and is just one of many new TV innovations expected from Rogers in the next few months. Netflix, Inc. is debuting the critically-acclaimed series, The Hour. This is the first and only place you’ll find this series throughout Canada. Hailed as England’s answer to Mad Men, The Hour is a political six-part thriller set in 1956 against the backdrop of a BBC public affairs TV show during the Suez Crisis. The Hour is an intimate look at sex, ambition and espionage in the workplace. It originally aired on the BBC in the United Kingdom and stars Dominic West, Romola Garai and Ben Whishaw.  This addition is part of the on-going effort by Netflix to bring its members great content to instantly watch from all around the world.
