The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) announced that they have brought together 12 enforcement agencies to launch an International Do Not Call Network. Telefilm Canada is pleased to announce that five feature films from across the country will be funded under the Canada Feature Film Fund’s selective and performance components.
“The diversity of the films testifies to Telefilm’s commitment to highlighting Canada’s cultural richness,” said Michel Pradier, Telefilm’s Director of Project Financing. “This time around, we have an interesting portfolio of two international coproductions (The Boy Who Smells Like Fish and Foxfire), a drama starring Oscar-nominated actor James Cromwell (Still), a regional first feature (The Disappeared) and a dark comedy (Cottage Country).” Read the rest of this entry »

D-BOX Technologies Inc. and Cineplex Entertainment have announced the newest locations to feature the D-BOX motion technology. Cineplex Odeon Ste. Foy Cinemas in Quebec and Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas in Toronto will offer the D-BOX experience as part of an agreement signed between the two companies last year.
