Canadian video game developer HB Studios has announced a global partnership with golf simulator specialist ProTee United. The simulator version of the The Golf Club will allow golf enthusiasts worldwide to play the game all year round with their own golf clubs and a real golf ball in the comfort of their own homes. Golf simulator users will also benefit from the thousands of courses created by TGC players on PC and console. Apart from enjoying the amazing graphics on a big screen players will be able to create their own course, play online with friends, and play in online tournaments worldwide. For the first time ever, Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise will be powered by some real-world horsepower. An August 27 game update to Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U console will deliver a variety of new features for players, including the ability in-game to download three free Mercedes-Benz cars that players can race: the modern Mercedes-Benz GLA, the 300 SL Roadster from the 1950s and the legendary Silver Arrow of the 1930s. It has been revealed in a late night note from Hinterland Games that the team has derived so much useful feedback from The Long Dark‘s early Alpha playtesting, that they want to open up the Sandbox to a much wider audience, and to that end a decision was made to bring the Sandbox Alpha to Steam Early Access in September 2014.
