Bell Media’s E! announced today that it has ordered the new Canadian entertainment documentary series Brave New Girl (working title) from Peacock Alley Entertainment. The eight-episode, 30-minute, unscripted series follows the glamorous and headline-grabbing life of model and former Miss Universe Canada contestant Jenna Talackova, as she moves from Vancouver to Toronto to pursue her career and start a new life in the big city. Joining her for the ride are Jenna’s fun and fearless friends, level-headed documentary filmmaker Elena and outspoken model and student, Dajana. Brave New Girl begins production this summer and is set to premiere on E! in the fall. The editors of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project have released their 2014 application, which will determine the winners of the national project as well as 20 other popular regional and special-interest “top employer” competitions.  Winners of the national project will be announced this fall in The Globe and Mail. This year’s application deadline is June 13, 2013, and The Top 100 editorial team will host a free webinar for employers interested in applying to this year’s project on May 7 and 14. Disney Junior continues to deliver the best in preschool programming and services to its viewers by announcing the arrival of Disney Junior HD. Launching today on Rogers (channel 479) and EastLink (channel 748), the new English-language channel is available free of charge to eligible customers who already subscribe to the Disney Junior standard definition service. From creator Tim McAuliffe (The Office, Up All Night, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon), Satisfaction stars award-winning comic Ryan Belleville (Going The Distance, The L.A. Complex), Luke Macfarlane (Brothers & Sisters, Kinsey, Over There), and Leah Renee (The Playboy Club, Blue Mountain State,  M.V.P).
