Canada Media Fund Adds New Features To Its Website

Canada Media FundThe Canada Media Fund (CMF) has added new features to its website, including a new CMF-funded projects search function and a calendar of events. These enhancements are the result of points raised by stakeholders in a survey that focused on the CMF’s communications strategies and tools.

The CMF-funded project search function allows users to search for both Experimental and Convergent projects. Users can refine their search by using drop-down menus from different criteria such as content type, envelope, genre, language, program, region, etc. It is a database that spans the last and current fiscal years, with plans to update back to the CMF’s creation in 2010.

The CMF calendar is a one-stop shop for stakeholders who wish to find out the dates, time, and more information about industry events supported by the CMF, consultation tour dates and locations, CMF speaking opportunities, and program deadlines.  The calendar is updated daily with new information.

Announcements are now housed in two distinct sections of the website- the Press Room and Industry Advisory. The Press Room allows journalists access to press releases and relevant images about the CMF.  Visit the Industry Advisory section to find the most relevant and up to date information regarding funded projects, programs, and research reports.

These enhancements are in addition to changes to Research reports which are presented in a new, accessible way while the Trendscape blog has been carefully restructured to emphasize the content as well as to highlight contributors such as members of the CMF Watch Squad. Soon this section will also contain a blog roll leading to other interesting sources of industry trends.

We have also modified our processes to enable subscribers to receive CMF communications in English, or French, or to continue receiving bilingual announcements. If you would like to select your preferred language of communication, please update your profile.

We invite all stakeholders to provide us with feedback about these new features as well as the other sections of the website.
