Infoblox Awarded Supply Arrangement from Government of Canada

infobloxCalifornia-based Infoblox Inc. today announced that it has been awarded a software licensing supply arrangement (SLSA) by the Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for its automated IP address management and network change and configuration management (NCCM) solutions.

This arrangement was garnered with Scalar Decisions, Canada’s leading IT solutions integrator, as the contracting agent for the agreement with order fulfillment responsibility for the Infoblox products to Government of Canada departments and agencies.

The award qualifies virtual versions of the Infoblox solutions for deployment in Government of Canada network infrastructures. The Supply Arrangement number is EN578-100808/020/EE.

“Increased mobility and the adoption of virtualization and cloud computing require a new dynamic and automated approach to network infrastructure services, ranging from assignment of IP addresses to monitoring configuration changes,” said Craig Workman, General Manager at Scalar Decisions. “Infoblox solutions provide the essential automation needed in today’s networks and this SLSA award will enable Infoblox, along with other partners, to engage more quickly with many Canadian government sectors.”

Infoblox solutions deliver essential network services, such as IP address assignment and domain name system (DNS) resolution, and management capabilities that connect users and IP-enabled devices to networks and applications. For more than 5,000 enterprises and service providers worldwide, Infoblox solutions are essential for maintaining their online presence, digital communication and transactions, ranging from email and stock trades to retail purchases and eLearning programs, among others. In addition, Infoblox is continually raising the bar with solutions designed to meet forthcoming IPv6, DNSSEC, virtualization and cloud initiatives.
