CodeProject Announces Windows Azure Developer Challenge Grand Prize Winner

developermediaToronto-based DeveloperMedia‘s software dev online community CodeProject has announced that Phil Lee is the grand prize winner of its recent Windows Azure Developer Challenge. Over $16,000 in prizes was awarded to 21 individuals throughout the 10-week Windows Azure Developer Challenge.  The contest pitted developers from across the globe against each other in five stages of competitions that incorporated tasks like building a website, using SQL, spinning virtual machines, and building responsive mobile access for their Azure apps. Canadian Videogame Awards Relocate To Toronto For 2014

Canadian Video Game AwardsProducers of the Canadian Videogame Awards (CVAs) announced yesterday afternoon that the fifth edition will take place in April 2014 in Toronto. This national award show celebrates excellence in Canadian-made video games and has been held in Vancouver for the past four years. At a launch reception held today at the Drake Hotel, industry leaders, government officials, sponsors and media gathered to celebrate the announcement that the show would move east for the first time in 2014. Seneca College Involved In Third Award-Winning Chris Landreth Film

senecaSubconscious Password, the latest film by Oscar®-winning director Chris Landreth was produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) with the participation of Animation Arts Centre of Seneca College and Copperheart Entertainment. It recently had its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France and won the prestigious Annecy Cristal for best short film. Landreth joined forces once again with producer Marcy Page of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), producer Mark Smith of Copperheart Entertainment, and the Seneca College Animation Arts Centre, who collaborated with him to make Ryan (2004) and The Spine (2009).
