Thomas & Friends: The Adventure Begins Chugga-Chug-Chugs To Disney Junior On May 23

Disney JuniorAll aboard! A smiling blue steam engine is pulling into Disney Junior this spring with the premiere of the animated special Thomas & Friends: The Adventure Begins. Debuting Saturday, May 23 at 6:40 p.m. ET, the hour-long adventure reveals Thomas’ origins as he arrives at his new home, the beautiful Island of Sodor, and encounters a fantastic fleet of new friends. The special airs prior to the official network launch of the series, Thomas & Friends, which begins on Sunday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. ET, and serves as the caboose to an exciting evening of family programming, beginning at 5 p.m. ET with the feature film Finding Nemo. Nintendo Outlines Ink-redible Free Splatoon Demo Events And Post-Launch Content

Nintendo CanadaNintendo is hosting free demo events of Splatoon for all Wii U owners, and people who purchase the game will receive a squid-boatload of free post-launch content. Nintendo announced these and other details during a Nintendo Direct video focused on the Splatoon game, which launches May 29 exclusively for the Wii U console.

Financing Transatlantic Transmedia Projects

Canada Media FundThe Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Wallimage (Wallonia, Belgium) have announced today a financing package of CAN$600,000 for three coproductions under the Canada-Wallonia Incentive for Digital Media Multiplatform projects. The two organizations have each contributed an equal share in the total funding. Three Walloon production companies will work with three Canadian companies to create two new innovative multiplatform projects in development and one project in production financed through the incentive program established in November 2014.
