Now available in public beta on Facebook is Chat Fu social game, the first major release from Toronto’s Blot Interactive. With Chat Fu, you can transform the world’s most popular social network into a word game of wits, wiles and Wushu. Mixing Kung Fu, wordplay and chat, it’s like no social game you’ve ever experienced.
In Chat Fu, players fight in “chat battles” against their Facebook friends, tricking them into saying certain words. In each free Chat Fu round, your task is to get a friend to say a target word – such as “Lunch”. If you can get them to say “Lunch” -? without mentioning Trap Words such as “Sandwich,” “Cheese” or “Hungry” -? you win that Chat Fu battle and earn big rewards. The twist? Your friend might not even know they’re playing a game.
To the other player, Chat Fu conversations appear in the same private messages you use on Facebook. Chat Fu players can even brag about their victories by sharing instant replays of battles won on their wall. With beautiful 3D cartoon visuals, a cast of playable fighters – from Sue Doku to Chipotle the Luchador – and tons of fun add-ons like kick-?ass accessories and punchy power-ups, Chat Fu is set to become the next free game sensation on Facebook.
“It’s amazing how fun tricking your friends can be,” says Blot Interactive President, Creative Director and Black Belt Justin Kwok. “Especially when they see it posted on their wall and try to get back at you!”
