Ottawa Festivals Partners With FaveQuest

ottawa festivalsOttawa Festivals is extremely pleased to announce an exciting partnership with FaveQuest to help event organizers harness the power of social media and mobile phones. Through this partnership, Ottawa Festivals members will be able to access FaveQuest’s MyEventApps mobile app service at a substantial discount enabling event organizers to have their own engaging mobile apps for iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices at an affordable price.

Ottawa Festivals’ members gathered for an informative seminar announcing the partnership and outlining the features and benefits currently enjoyed by many events and venues here in Ottawa that include Winterlude, Hope Volleyball Beachfest, Centrepointe Theatre, Shenkman Arts Centre, Elmdale Tavern, Blacksheep Inn, Bronson Centre, Zaphods, Capital Velofest and more. This partnership offers members access to MyEventApps at a significant discount.

“It used to be that festival organizers weren’t convinced they needed a website … can you even imagine not having a website for your festival now?” says Allan Isfan, CEO of FaveQuest.. “With the massive popularity of smartphones and mobile apps, we are fast approaching the post-PC age where people are increasingly accessing the internet through apps on their smartphones and tablets. We built MyEventApps so that any festival or event, no matter how small, can afford their own beautiful native mobile apps. Solutions start at just $750/year which is a price point anyone can afford. We even integrated sponsorship options in the apps so that event organizers can make money from their apps!”

Users have complete control of the information in the apps through a simple dashboard. It is as simple as filling in forms.  FaveQuest staff will typically help organizers by entering most of the information for them initially and then provide them control so they can make changes at any time. Some of the key features of MyEventApps
include:

  • Support for any mobile device
  • Customizable Calendar
  • Ticket Integration
  • Social Media Integration
  • Maps, directions & site maps
  • Rotating Banners for announcements, promotions and sponsors
  • Customizable Graphics
  • SouvenirCam, a fun integrated photo tool that enhances photos and makes it easy to share them with friends

“This is a very exciting program for us,” says Barb Stacey, Executive Director of Ottawa Festivals, “We were aware of FaveQuest because of the work they have been doing with some of our members, and we are fortunate to have an industry leader located here in Ottawa who has stepped-up to support members of our industry.”More information about MyEventApps can be found online, and for pricing information for Ottawa Festivals Members please contact myeventapps@ottawafestivals.ca.
