The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, has announced that Montréal InVivo, the life sciences and health technologies cluster of Metropolitan Montréal, has been granted funding to establish a provincial mentoring network for entrepreneurs in the sector.
“By lending our financial support to organizations that, like Montréal InVivo, are adopting the model of specialized mentoring, the Government of Canada is helping foster the creation of poles of excellence,” says Minister Lebel.
The mission of Montréal InVivo is to promote innovation and creativity in the life sciences and health technologies sector. The organization is setting up the Bio Success Mentoring network, an initiative through which mentors will coach entrepreneurs through their learning experience and help them develop commercialization projects that have strong potential for success.
This $50,000 non-repayable contribution has been granted through Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
