D-Box Technologies Adds Extra Thrill to Universal Pictures Thriller Contraband

D-BoxInnovative motion technology developer D-BOX Technologies Inc. has announced an agreement with Universal Pictures for its upcoming thriller Contraband, to be released with D-BOX MFX in select theatres on January 13, 2012, offering a deeper, immersive involvement for movie-goers.“We are pleased to announce another release with Universal Pictures, our first movie of the new year,” said President and CEO of D-BOX Technologies, Claude Mc Master.  “We have had a number of successful pictures with the studio in the past, including Fast & Furious in 2009 and most recently Fast Five in 2011.”

Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale lead the cast of Contraband, a fast-paced thriller about a man trying to stay out of a world he worked hard to leave behind and the family he’ll do anything to protect. Set in New Orleans, the film explores the cutthroat underground world of international smugglingfull of desperate criminals and corrupt officials, high-stakes and big payoffswhere loyalty rarely exists and death is one wrong turn away.
