SYNNEX Canada Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based SYNNEX Corporation, has announced the official Canadian launch of the mobile application for its e-commerce website, mECExpress, which is developed for use on Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Phone 7 and HP Palm Web OS mobile devices.
ECExpress is the e-commerce website that SYNNEX resellers use to search for product pricing and availability, enter orders, as well as to check order and account status. The mobile application, created by the SYNNEX Mobile Apps team, takes the best of those features and provides resellers in the field with the same functionality on a mobile device in real-time without an internet connection. Another unique benefit of mECExpress is UPC product recognition. Service technicians can scan the barcode on a product’s asset tag and recall data relating to the transaction of the product, giving them the information they need to complete the service call.
“We have always developed solutions to increase workflow productivity that enable our resellers to be more efficient. As the world rapidly extends from the desktop to a mobile business environment, SYNNEX created mECExpress to help make it easier for our partners to do business with us, thus increasing their speed of response to their customers,” said Mitchell Martin, President of SYNNEX Canada Limited. “The SYNNEX Mobile Apps team not only developed mECExpress, they also developed custom mobile apps in partnership with our resellers and vendors to connect their customers to mobile applications on the fly.”
With the growth of powerful mobile computing using smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices, companies are looking for ways to help their staff be more efficient and available to their customers and teams. “Using mECExpress has significantly reduced our response time, which is of great value to our customers,” said Jakub Bodzan, Director of Sales for IT Express Direct, Inc., a corporate VAR in Oakville, ON. “The app is very easy to use and allows us to quickly check pricing and availability from our mobile devices, wherever we are.”
