Innovative motion technology developer D-BOX Technologies Inc. has announced its first agreement with Luxor Cinema Chain, the fourth largest theatre circuit in Russia, for the installation of 141 D-BOX MFX Systems in six locations. This agreement marks the first sale of D-BOX MFX Systems for commercial theatre use in Russia and will also generate licensing fees payable to D-BOX in accordance with the systems’ utilization. TVO has launched two free educational apps for kids, designed in partnership with the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) to increase a child’s capacity to learn. OISE has conducted formal research into the effectiveness of the apps and found that Hop, Frog, Hop! and Ribbit, Frog, Ribbit!can help improve a child’s working memory – a brain function essential to learning across all subject areas and in particular math. Seven of Canada’s leading health care organizations have joined together to launch new electronic tools to help Canadians use their medications safely and appropriately. The tools are the latest innovation in the Knowledge is the Best Medicine (KiBM) program which was created by Canada’s Research Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D) in 1994 to help Canadians better manage their own health care, including a free new iPhone and iPad app developed by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices Canada with input from Canadian patient groups and health care provider organizations.
