Electronic Arts Inc. announced today that anticipation for EA SPORTS™ FIFA 13 has reached record levels – according to EA’s internal sales data as of September 13th, 1.99 million people in 73 countries around the world downloaded and played FIFA 13 in the three days following the game’s demo launch for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC. This is a 29 percent increase compared to the first three days after the FIFA 12 demo last year.  The data also shows that two weeks from launch, fans around the world have pre-ordered over 875,000 copies of FIFA 13—up 37 percent year over year in Europe and a 62 percent increase year over year in North America. Nintendo today revealed full details about how the new Wii U^™ home console and its groundbreaking touch-screen Wii U GamePad controller can revolutionize not only video game play but also the way people find and watch TV and video content. The new HD system will offer entirely new ways for consumers to play games and enjoy their favourite programming when it launches in North America on Nov. 18. During the launch window, more than 50 games will be available for Wii U, which will be offered in two different colors and configurations. The Basic Set will be offered in white at a suggested retail price of $299.99, while the Deluxe Set, which includes higher storage capacity, additional accessories and the new Nintendo Land^™ video game, will be offered in black at a suggested retail price of $349.99. Tomorrow, September 13th, Funcom will be releasing the second major content update for its modern-day massively multiplayer online game ‘The Secret World‘. The update, called ‘Issue #2: Digging Deeper‘ includes lots of new content such as several new investigation missions, the rocket launcher auxiliary weapon, the looking-for-group system, as well as plastic surgery and the barbershop where you can alter your character’s looks.  Read the rest of this entry »

The release of the Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 games for the Nintendo DS family of systems is quickly approaching, and Nintendo Canada is giving fans yet another reason to be excited about their Oct. 7 launch. Consumers who purchase either of the new games early will have the opportunity to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (broadband Internet access required) before November 12th to receive the Mythical Pokémon Genesect for the first time ever through a free, limited-time distribution. In Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 – which are also playable in 2D on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems – players will return to the Unova region and embark on a new adventure set two years after the events of the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games. Canada’s entrepreneurs are always looking for new ways to take their business to the next level. Research from Intuit Canada has found, however, that entrepreneurs often lack the time and resources they need to get ahead. Intuit’s research shows that 62% of Canada’s 2.4 million small businesses say that financial tracking is critical when it comes to achieving their business goals Research conducted by ConStat. 961 small business professionals surveyed between February 28 and March 12, 2012. According to Industry Canada, the definition of “small business” is firms that have fewer than 100 employees. The same research shows that more than 34% of small businesses are constantly looking for better ways to manage their finances, while 26% feel they’re alone when it comes to managing their business.
