D-Day to Victory Interactive, an online documentary experience recreating the WWII final assault on Nazi-occupied Europe, was a big winner at the 2012 FITC Awards walking away with the “3D’” and “Best of Show” awards. An extension to the History Television and Channel4 TV series, D-Day to Victory Interactive, was produced by Emmy® Award-winning agency Secret Location. The “Best of Show” award was selected by an international panel of judges that included senior creatives from Big Spaceship, CP+B, North Kingdom, TAXI and Wunderman. To celebrate the joy of reading and the importance of sharing stories, TD Canadian Children’s Book Week will kick off May 5 with 116 free public readings held in public libraries, community centres, bookstores and local schools across Canada. More than 35,000 children are expected to participate during the annual event which is organized by The Canadian Children’s Book Centre and runs from May 5 to May 12, 2012. Over the course of the last several weeks, students from 120 high schools (78 from Ontario, 32 from Quebec, 2 from Alberta, 1 from Nova Scotia, 5 from the United States and 2 from Mexico) took part in the FIRST Robotics Competition – the largest high school robotics competition in Canada.
