For CodeProject, one of the world’s largest online communities of software developers, it has been a summer full of celebrations.  Members from around the world organized parties in countries such as Switzerland, Israel, India, Brazil and the United States.  Members met, shared memories and celebrated the community that they have helped build.  CodeProject also engaged its members by creating a “why do you love CodeProject?” contest that gave members the chance to create a video or submit a photo meme for a chance to win a $10,000 prize pack. Funcom‘s “Get Your Art In The Game” is a competition which lets players draw their own ideas for outfits and the winners will get their creations made in The Secret World. The Secret World already has an unparalleled diversity in outfits, and we wish to give the players the opportunity to both expand on this and share their creativity with the whole community. Writer – producer teams from across Canada are invited to submit their story ideas for this year’s second annual China Canada Gateway for Film® Script Competition in Whistler. Presented by the Whistler Film Festival in association with Telefilm Canada, the Script Competition introduces experienced Canadian writer/producer teams to Chinese studios. Projects should be appropriate for a budget of up to $5 million. Canadian writer/producer teams are invited to submit an application and script synopsis by September 30, 2013 for consideration. 12 finalists will be announced on or before October 31, 2013.The finalists will take part in the pitch competition at the Whistler Film Festival’s Summit on December 5, 2013.
