The new Government Information Act will modernize B.C.’s approach to information management, increasing efficiency, making better use of taxpayer dollars, as well as providing better, faster access to archival government information through new digital archives. After experiencing record-breaking success with the reality tween drama The Next Step, Family Channel is teaming up with Temple Street Productions and creator Frank van Keeken on a new half-hour show, The Music Room. A tween drama featuring an entirely original soundtrack, the series follows a group of young performers who are members of an elite music program. Ubisoft® has announced that the Open Beta tag on The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has been lifted, signaling the game’s official launch. Throughout the beta period, the free-to-play Hack and Slash action game established its direction and added many new features including crafting, open creation, barricades, new traps, rare creatures and clans to continuously grow and improve the game. This February, Disney Junior counts down to blast off with the premiere of animated adventure series Miles From Tomorrow. Debuting Saturday, February 21 at 6:55 p.m. ET, the intergalactic comedy incorporates unique space and science facts into storylines that chart the outer space missions of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family as they help connect the galaxy on behalf of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. The Entertainment Software Association of Canada is pleased to announce the 1st annual ESAC Student Video Game Competition. This competition will grant one winner currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution the opportunity showcase their game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles this coming June as part of an all-expense paid trip. Currently on Steam Greenlight is a Canadian-developed game named Bad Taste. The developers state that Bad Taste is a smart, violent, scathing satire of the fast food industry in the form of a tasty videogame. Featuring Spencer “Spenny” Rice, star of the Canadian T.V. Show Kenny V.S. Spenny. An homage to trash cinema, the story focuses on police officer Chet as he tries to escape the city of Victoria BC before it’s nuked to eradicate a zombie epidemic caused by genetically modified fast food.
