High Demand for CMF Convergent Digital Media Incentive And Regional French Production Incentive Programs
The Canada Media Fund has announced today that the Convergent Digital Media Incentive (CDMI) for French language projects and the Regional French Production Incentive are now closed due to the high number of eligible applications received from project producers.
Convergent Digital Media Incentive for French language projects – The CMF will no longer be accepting applications from applicants who wish to receive funds for their French language digital media component from this incentive. In April 2013, the CMF announced that the Convergent Digital Media Incentive for English language projects was closed due to receiving a high number of applications.
The Convergent Digital Media Incentive is designed to encourage the production of value-added digital media components that are related to CMF-funded television productions in order to provide the Canadian public with the opportunity to access their favourite content on different platforms for a truly convergent experience.
Regional French Production Incentive – The CMF will no longer be accepting applications from applicants who wish to receive funds for their Regional French language projects from this incentive. The incentive supports the growth of French production by Quebec producers who are located outside Montreal.
