Andrew Akman Appointed COO Of Cineflix Media

cineflixCineflix Media Inc., an international creator, producer and distributor of television entertainment, is pleased to announce that Andrew Akman has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer of Cineflix Media. Akman is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate operations, information technology, and post-production. He is also responsible for setting up and overseeing the operations of partnerships and acquisitions. Andrew is based in Cineflix’s Toronto office and reports directly to Co-CEOs Katherine Buck and Glen Salzman.CINEFLIX - Andrew Akman appointed COO

Akman joins Cineflix with over 15 years of experience in the industry serving on senior management teams. At Shaw Media Akman worked as VP, Planning where he oversaw strategic planning and business integration activities. Previous to that at Canwest Broadcasting as SVP & Chief Administrative Officer, he was responsible for the integration of the Alliance Atlantis broadcasting assets, and oversaw corporate operations. Prior to that at Alliance Atlantis Communications as SVP Corporate Development and Investor Relations, he had a key role in capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and oversight of the company’s day-to-day relationships with analysts and investors.
