MEGA Brands Proud To Participate At Montreal Comiccon
MEGA Brands Inc. is pleased to announce its first appearance at this year’s Montreal Comiccon, one of the largest comic book and popular arts conventions in North America. The Montreal company will immerse its fans in the world of Mega Bloks construction sets while also giving them the opportunity to meet several MEGA Brands team members. The Mega Bloks booth will welcome fans into the worlds of Mega Bloks Halo® as well as its newly-launched Mega Bloks World of Warcraft® product lines. Its booth will offer behind-the-scenes footage on the “making of” its construction sets along with a peek at first designs and prototypes of sought-after Mega Bloks items. Guests will also have the chance to win exclusive prizes, receive super-cool giveaways and access free building tables.
“As a Montreal born and based company, we are especially proud to be a part of the excitement at Montreal’s Comiccon for the first time”, said Vic Bertrand, Chief Innovation Officer at MEGA Brands. “Although MEGA Brands has been a part of many other Comiccon events worldwide, showcasing in our hometown really adds a sense of pride and belonging within our team. We look forward to sharing the love for our products in our hometown with our local fans”.
The fun doesn’t end there. MEGA Brands is creating the ultimate (and philanthropic) building experience at this year’s Montreal Comiccon by transforming a section of its booth into a community build wall. Guests are invited to visit the booth to add as many blocks as they wish to help build a giant Mega Bloks Power Rangers® Red Ranger Mask, also known as the Power Rangers MEGA Mural.
A dedicated supporter of autism research and advocacy, MEGA Brands will donate the Power Rangers MEGA mural to the Miriam Foundation to recognize their work in helping local children and families affected by autism spectrum disorders.
To top it all off, MEGA Brands will also be bringing two very special guests to Montreal Comiccon: Thrall from World of Warcraft – towering over 10 feet tall and built at the company’s Montreal workshop from over 375,000 blocks – and MEGA Bloks’ newest Halo build, the Cryo Chamber, being revealed for the very first time to the public. These enormous models will be on display for fan and press photo ops throughout the entire event.
