“We want to see their brains sweat,” says Vancouver author and journalist Linda L. Richards, whose dozen books have appeared on numerous bestseller lists over the years. Richards, who is also the editor and co-founder of the successful online book-focused January Magazine, is one of three publishing professionals who recently forged the Publishing Success Network.

“Only a fraction of the ideas that people have for books ever materialize as a publication,” adds Murray Baker, Canada’s leading student financial expert and the author of The Debt-Free Graduate a book that was initially put out by one of largest publishers in the world and which has since turned into one of the country’s great self-publishing success stories. “People often find the process of publishing very daunting,” Baker says. “We want people to realize that, with the right information, it is possible to not only attain their publishing goals, but also have their book stand out in what has become a very crowded field.”

“It will be an intensive day,” says David Middleton, co-founder of January Magazine as well as an internationally published designer and photographer. “Attendees will get an insider’s view on many aspects of publishing. We want them to walk away energized and ready to tackle their own publishing project in a prepared way.”

Tickets for this event are still available. The cost until May 17th is $157.00 (+ fees) and $225.00 (+ fees) afterwards.
