Advisor Joins Chaordix As CMO
Shelley Kuipers, Founder and CEO of Chaordix®, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon M. McIntyre to the Chaordix® executive team as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). As a previous member of the Chaordix Advisory Board, Sharon provided strategic advice and collaboration on Chaordix brand and marketing initiatives.
Just recently, Sharon (in collaboration with Calgary’s Atom Graphics) led a brand renewal for Chaordix, including new positioning, identity and meaning systems, and website design and launch – to better reflect the company’s evolution and success.
In her new role as CMO, she will work closely with Shelley, the Chaordix Board, and the executive team on strategic business matters as well as contributing marketing leadership, brand strategy and development expertise, and product marketing/commercialization management.
Sharon brings 25+ years of international marketing experience in the high-tech, public service and academic sectors to the Chaordix team. She has provided strategic marketing services to tech multinationals and startups including Schlumberger, Merak, Entero, Zedi, Hatsize, HP, Alex, and Teleglobe.
Prior to focusing on her consultancy and academic work, Sharon was Senior Marketing Advisor (Software) for the world’s largest energy services technology firm (Schlumberger); there she also headed up marketing and brand for their in-house startup, IndigoPool, an innovative online acquisition and divestiture data service.
Over the years, Sharon has had the privilege to be on the client side of (and collaborate with) such talented marketing and branding firms as Vivaldi Partners, Milton Glaser, Cossette, Material Insight, Parallel Strategies, and Landor. She is also an active mentor and participant in local marketing, tech and community associations.
Sharon is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University (MRU) where, with her colleagues and members of the business community, she catalyzed the design of an innovative undergraduate marketing curriculum. This fall, she will be pleased to serve as a sessional marketing discipline coordinator and mentor at MRU.
Sharon is completing doctoral studies related to entrepreneurial innovation policy, practice and community. She will guide the commercialization of a unique social sciences research method on the Chaordix platform for use in her dissertation work and with the company’s clients.
Sharon joins Chaordix as they are increasing momentum in their transition from a pioneering startup into a global commercial and business success, fuelled by their increased market expansion and timely capital infusions.
Ms. McIntyre will be based in the Calgary office and travel to serve the global Chaordix clientele. Sharon communicates in English and French, and holds dual Canadian and Irish (EU) citizenship.
