Quorum and ABS Announce Expanded Integration

quorum dmsQuorum Information Technologies Inc. announced today that its dealership and customer management system, XSellerator™ now has improved and expanded bidirectional integration with Automotive Business Solution’s (ABS) Barcode Inventory System, as well as new integration with ABS’ Vinscan system. Quorum and ABS originally announced integration from XSellerator to ABS BarCode in early 2010.

ABS Barcode, a parts department inventory management system for stocking in parts orders as well as conducting perpetual and annual inventories, was ranked #1 in the first national survey of inventory bar code systems, and the highest in overall satisfaction by parts managers. The survey included systems offered by dealership management system providers and independent solutions.

The update includes an improved and streamlined process of transmitting parts orders to Barcode, directly from the parts order window in XSellerator, plus new bidirectional integration that eliminates the need for manual reconciliation of parts inventory receipted from orders back into XSellerator by automatically incorporating the parts receipts to update parts orders and inventory.

“The new integration saves us more time in receipting our parts orders. When we originally installed the ABS Barcode system we saw huge process improvements and efficiency gains when receiving our orders, but the new ability to automatically update the quantity received into XSELLERATOR eliminates errors and speeds up the process,” comments Rob Korth, Parts Manager at Heidebreicht Chevrolet.

“The new bidirectional integration with ABS represents a part of our overall strategy to partner with leading specialty systems to offer our customers a comprehensive technology solution,” said Dan Ichelson, Quorum’s Vice President of Operations and Development.

In addition, Quorum DMS customers can now send vehicle inventory data from XSellerator to ABS’ Vinscan system for quick and efficient lot inventory by scanning the VINs or a custom label with a handheld scanner. A comparison report is automatically produced to highlight any discrepancies.

Kevin Berkhimer, Co-CEO of ABS, said, “We are pleased to offer the improved integration to Quorum users. The added integration points are another milestone for ABS as we continue to offer the most desired parts bar coding system and unmatched customer satisfaction.”
