Andrew Osis, CEO of Poynt Corporation, a mobile local search and advertising provider, will be a featured speaker at the Variety Entertainment Summit at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Mr. Osis has been invited to share his insights during the “Technology All-Stars of Today and Tomorrow” panel, which takes place Wednesday, January 11 from 11:15 to 12:00 pm PST at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall.
The “All-Stars” panel will feature leaders from the mobile, film, and television industries and discussion themes will cover content creation and distribution, discovery, new business models, social and the evolving ecosystem of the digital media space.
Some of the topics the panel may also address include the challenges that content producers face today, such as how to keep the consumer engaged, the barriers to entry for innovators and how to build a sustainable business model.
According to the Consumer Electronics Association, CES is the largest consumer electronics show with an expected attendance of 140,000 people and is the largest showcasing of consumer technology trends, products and services.
The Variety Entertainment Summit at this year’s CES will explore how technology is impacting the entertainment business, and where content can now be distributed and promoted on increasing numbers of platforms and devices. In particular the conference will showcase technology pioneers in entertainment media and entrepreneurship and explore why visionary thinking with digital media is critical in an era of new business models.
“Companies that are disruptive in the technology space recognize that the consumer and innovation go hand-in-hand but ultimately it is the consumer who says who wins and who loses,” said Andrew Osis, CEO, Poynt Corp. “I am excited to share the stories of our successes and challenges with my fellow innovators and entrepreneurs who will be joining me on the Variety Entertainment panel”.
