WhereCloud Creates Board To Support Mobile Development Market Growth
WhereCloud Inc., a Montreal-Based Mobile Consulting and Development studio, announced today the nomination of tech industry veterans Scott Lake and Jean Boisvert as the first members of its Advisory Board. The newly created Board will provide advice on the company’s current and future strategy, practices and product initiatives. “We are currently experiencing very strong growth and as a result, we need to reinforce our strategic outlook for the road ahead”, said WhereCloud CEO & Founder Martin Dufort.
Scott Lake has been leading software companies for the past decade. He is the founder and CEO of SWIX, a leading social marketing analytics company and was also a co-founder and the CEO of Shopify.com, one of the largest hosted e-commerce apps on the Web. “I’ve seen WhereCloud produce some truly amazing mobile applications over the years”, said Lake. “I’m excited to be part of the board and advise them on their upcoming service and product strategy.”
Jean Boisvert was the vice-president of Systems and Technology at Giro, which develops planning and operations software for the public transit and postal industries. Before his retirement, Boisvert managed the development of Giro’s software environment, the technology infrastructure for 225 employees and the deployment of solutions to over 25 countries. “WhereCloud has the know-how and the vision to truly excel in the exploding mobile market”, said Boisvert. “I’m glad to help along with the launch and execution of their product family.”
Added Dufort: “With such seasoned and insightful members as Scott and Jean, our new Board will help us focus more than ever on our vision, so we can keep on delivering beautifully crafted mobile applications and top-ranking, top-grossing, App Store-featured products.”
Today’s announcement follows a string of fall product launches including Yellow Pages Group’s Red Flag Deals and ShopWise iPhone apps, the NFB Advent Calendar for iPad, the RX Mobile prescription app for health practitioners, and the Smart Showroom in-store iPad app for car dealers.
