Great Canadian Appathon Final Face-off Tonight
Fuelled by pizza and energy drinks more than 400 students across Canada worked non-stop over the weekend of September 30th to develop 88 mobile games during the Great Canadian Appathon2. Presented by XMG Studio and the National Post, the Great Canadian Appathon2 gave students the opportunity to win over $50,000 in cash and prizes, get their game published and even win a chance at a job in the games industry at XMG Studio.
At the Grand Finale sponsored by KMPG, the top three teams will play their game live in front of a panel of judges. They will be competing for bragging rights, Great Canadian Appathon2 supremacy and a chance to win the $25,000 grand prize. The judges had a very difficult task narrowing down the finalists from the initial list of 88 submissions to twenty-five quarter-finalists and then to ten semi-finalists, until the naming of the final three who will compete tonight.
