Vote For Your Favourite Entrepreneur In Get-Entrepreneurial.ca
Beginning today, the third edition of the Get-Entrepreneurial Rally will enable you to discover and vote for the Quebec entrepreneur whose path is most inspiring. Organized by the Réseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Quebec (RCJEQ), this online contest helps promote new entrepreneurs from across Quebec. As part of National Entrepreneurship Day (NED), celebrated annually on November 16th, it stimulates the entrepreneurial potential of Quebec residents aged 35 and under. It also gives youth the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship as a career choice through meetings with local entrepreneurs.
Between October 31st and November 16th at 5 pm, visit get-entrepreneurial.ca to discover the latest crop of entrepreneurs, sorted regionally across Quebec. After selecting the area of your choice, consult the profiles, and then vote for the business you find most inspiring to encourage local entrepreneurial culture.
“This initiative is intended to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people, whether it is in their community, their personal projects or as their chosen career path. Entrepreneurship leads to the development of core values such as creativity, independence, tenacity, responsibility, leadership and solidarity.” said Alexandre Soulières, Executive Director of the RCJEQ.
Each year, more than 120 activities are organized around the Rally (of which more than half are held in schools) by the 111 Carrefours jeunesse-emploi (CJE) across Quebec. A list of regional activities is available on the web site.
Selected through online voting, the winning entrepreneur will earn a cash prize of $1,000. Prizes will also be drawn among participants. Erica Diamond, award-winning entrepreneur, author and speaker, will act as spokesperson for the event, along with tech journalist François Charron for the francophone side.
