The foundation has recently partnered with Dominion Card Services (DCS) for all of their payment solutions. Additionally, The BC Hospitality Foundation will be benefiting financially from Dominion Card Services ‘Every Swipes Makes A Difference’ program. When any hospitality driven business based in British Columbia partners with Dominion Card Services, DCS will be donating a portion of profits from every debit & credit card transaction to the BCHF. The Message Is Simple: We Create BC

We Create BCLast evening at the Save BC Film townhall meeting held at North Shore Studios, the Motion Picture Production Industry Association of BC (MPPIA) officially announced We Create BC – an initiative to showcase and celebrate BC’s creative industries, kicking off with BC’s film and television production industry. Last fall Vancouver’s videogame sector held a townhall meeting hosted by DigiBC to discuss the challenges it is facing. Registration Opens For The Canadian Internet Forum

ciraThe Canadian Internet Registration Authority, the organization that manages the .CA Internet domain, now supports the use of all French characters in .CA domain names, allowing Canadians to register their .CAs correctly in both official languages for the first time. Update On CATAAlliance Advocacy Campaign for Canadian Innovation Box

CATACATAAlliance has launched an Advocacy Campaign to encourage the adoption of a Canadian form of the “Patent Box”, i.e., an “Innovation Box”. The Canadian “Innovation Box” would be tailored to provide a preferential, competitive tax regime for the successful exploitation and commercialization of Intellectual Property (IP), including patents, in Canada.
