Ottawa software developer Analytics Edge has released a new connector for its Microsoft Excel add-in that provides direct access to MailChimp campaign and mailing list data. Reinforcing the company’s mantra that computers should do the work for you, the connector lets you automate the transfer of data between MailChimp’s servers and Excel workbooks on your computer.

Using a wizard-based interface that requires no programming, the connector integrates with other Analytics Edge function wizards to form a complete reporting and update solution inside a simple spreadsheet. The built-in macro recorder provides the automation, reducing tedious spreadsheet updates requiring manual file transfers and error-prone formulas into a few simple wizards.

The new MailChimp connector goes well beyond simple data downloads, allowing you to control campaign scheduling, upload ecommerce data, manage folders and templates, and check VIP member activity. You also have access to the helper functions that can give you the campaign or list information for a specific email subscriber. The integration with Excel even lets you batch subscribe a list of emails right out of your worksheet.

The Analytics Edge Connector for MailChimp is available now, free for 30 days, and $49.95 per year thereafter. The Analytics Edge add-in, also free for 30 days, is licensed for only $74.95 per year.
