The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) is pleased to announce that Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment, will be the Opening Keynote at this year’s Festival and that David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios and Armando Nuñez, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Global Distribution Group, will deliver a CBS Global Content Keynote. BANFF named CBS Corp. its inaugural Company of Distinction for this year’s event. Each year this program will allow the Festival to celebrate a company demonstrating significant leadership in the world of screen based entertainment.

As President, CBS Entertainment, Nina Tassler oversees the CBS Network’s entertainment programming for prime time, late night and daytime. Tassler has led the development for many of the shows that have made CBS America’s most watched network for 10 of the last 11 seasons including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife, Person of Interest and Hawaii Five-0, among others.
David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios since 2004, oversees program development and production for network, basic cable and premium channels. CBS Television Studios is one of the industry’s leading suppliers of primetime network programming, with the #1 show on television NCIS, the #2 most-watched drama NCIS: Los Angeles, #1 new show Elementary and the daytime’s fastest growing network talk show The Talk. The popular and critically acclaimed roster also includes the phenomenally successful CSI franchise and Peabody Award winning series The Good Wife.
Armando Nuñez oversees a worldwide television distribution operation that includes CBS Television Distribution, a preeminent syndicator of first-run and off-network programming, and CBS Studios International, which licenses CBS programming worldwide to more than 200 markets across multiple media platforms. His purview includes a domestic television company that features seven of the top 10 first-run syndicated shows – including Judge Judy, Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Phil and Wheel of Fortune – and an international division that has grown into the top supplier of U.S. programming in Europe, featuring CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the most-watched show in the world. Under Nuñez’ leadership, CBS Studios International has expanded CBS’s global footprint with channel ventures in the UK, India, Australia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and with local formats based on hits series such as America’s Next Top Model and Wheel of Fortune.
