Registration is now open for the fourteenth annual PMC Science Fair Fun Run, which will take place on Sunday, May 26th at the Athlete’s Village Plaza (the former Olympic Village). The Fun Run is the largest timed 5K race in BC and is one of the technology industry’s largest fundraising events. All registered Fun Run participants are eligible for prizes and receive free admission to the TELUS World of Science on the day of the race. Families can meet student science fair participants, view science fair projects, pick up free giveaways from run sponsors and participate in the day’s activities, all while learning how science education can be fun.
Register before the early bird deadline on April 30, 2013 for only $35 (adults 19 and over) and $20 (youths 18 and under). There is also a 1K Mini Fun Run for children, with an entry fee of $15. All proceeds from the event go to The Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment to support the promotion and development of Science Fair programs throughout the province.
The Science Fair Foundation supports science education through the science fair program to foster curiosity and build for the future. The Science Fair Foundation of British Columbia (SFF BC) is a non-profit, charitable organization incorporated in February 1998 to support and promote science fair activity in British Columbia. The Foundation is committed to ensuring ongoing financial support in order to build a stronger and more visible Science Fair Program throughout the province.
