devolutionsDevolutions, a Montreal-based enterprise software firm with more than 200,000 users in over 85 countries, is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its popular Remote Desktop Manager Server (RDMS) tool by launching an enhanced and improved version 2.0. Designed to work with Devolutions’ Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) client, Remote Desktop Manager Server 2.0 is an easy-to-use, all-in-one management platform that empowers IT teams to control all of their remote connections, passwords, credentials and attachments. It creates an enterprise-wide centralized data store that can be securely deployed within a users’ infrastructure, or online using a users’ SSL certificate of firewall.

Now in version 2.0, users can take advantage of several key enhancements and improvements, including:

  •     .NET 4.0 support
  •     Web Interface Improvements
  •     New UI design for the Role Management support
  •     Inherited Active Directory group support
  •     Improved deployment and administration process

“Remote Desktop Manager Server is a powerful team-based solution that provides an extra layer of local-level security,” commented Devolutions’ CEO and founder David Hervieux. “Many of the improvements and upgrades featured in version 2.0 are a direct result of feedback from our incredible community of IT pros, who’ve told us what they want via email, our blog, Facebook, Twitter, and in-person at Microsoft’s TechEd and other events where we’ve showcased our product suite.”

IT pros and teams can download a 30-day trial of Remote Desktop Management Server 2.0 (note: an RDM Enterprise client is required to access the Server platform; a 30-day trial of RDM Enterprise is available for download.
