URQUi is a new personal security protocol that functions on any mobile device and authenticates with any type of digital platform.

URQUi generates a one-time password (OTP) on a user’s mobile device, which can be a cell phone, a digital watch, or a personal computer. The user enters the OTP into the host device—a website, keyless entry system, or ATM—which validates the OTP and confirms or denies the identity of the user.

“The epidemic of hacking and identity theft is the scourge of the Internet”, said Jonathan Bell, the developer of URQUi. “We have affordable ways to protect our homes, cars and possessions; but we do not have affordable tools to protect our online security, privacy and identity. From today forward, URQUi user authentication will do that job.”
