Bluedrop Performance Learning Donates “12 Skills for Christmas” To Help Charities Over The Holidays

BlueDropBluedrop Performance Learning has announced that registered charities and not-for-profit organizations (NPOs) in Canada and the U.S. will be receiving a different kind of gift for their staff this holiday season.  Bluedrop is donating 5,000 seats from their most popular online professional training courses to help NPOs upgrade their staff skills.

Starting today, Bluedrop will make twelve of their most popular workplace productivity courses available for free to the first 5,000 registrants.  The courses are valued at $100,000 USD and are open to employees, volunteers and partners of registered charities and not-for-profits.

“Bluedrop decided to give the gift of skills. Specifically, we’re targeting the not-for-profit sector whose staff is challenged by time and money from accessing important skills upgrades,” said Emad Rizkalla, Founder and CEO of Bluedrop. “We want to help people who spend their lives helping others. Fifty per cent of the skills that people use in the workplace are outdated every 3 years,” Rizkalla added.

“We also want to do something about the growing digital skills gap that exists between not-for-profits and their counterparts in government and business,” said Rizkalla. “The learning gap means that many NPOs have one hand tied behind their back as they tackle society’s most pressing problems,” Rizkalla added.

The online training courses will be delivered on CoursePark.com, Bluedrop’s cloud-based learning platform for the workplace.  The most relevant courses were carefully selected from CoursePark’s inventory and target the 12 key skills essential for professional growth and productivity.  The courses cover a wide range of topics, including: business & IT skills, social media training, project management and stress management.  The courses are typically less than 1 hour long and can be accessed any time. Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of each course.

Participants must register by January 7, 2013.  Courses must be completed by March 31, 2013.
